Michael bought his house on Westcott Bay in 1999 after vacationing in the islands many times over the years. He relocated to San Juan Island full time in the Fall of 2004 and started selling real estate in Friday Harbor and San Juan Island in January of 2005.

Originally from Seattle, Michael had lived in the Los Angeles area since the mid 80's and started his real estate career there with Coldwell Banker in Woodland

Hills in 2001. He quickly established himself as one of  that office's most successful new agents. However the notion of moving back to the Northwest and pursuing real estate in the San Juan Islands was a recurring one and in 2004 Michael decided it was time to make that change.

Michael comes from a marketing background and worked in the music industry for over 20 years in marketing, promotion and advertising at Warner Bros Records. As a vice president there he helped create campaigns for dozens of artists ranging from Eric Clapton and Neil Young to Green Day.

He now brings a marketing driven aproach to selling real estate, utilizing the latest technologies with an emphasis on internet exposure and providing extra value to his clients. Michael chose Windermere because of the company's technologically savvy approach and the extensive educational and training resources it provides to its agents. He is currently studing for his brokers license and pursing several additional professional designations.

Since moving to San Juan Island Michael has also become involved in several community activities, joining the board of the Animal Protection Society of Friday Harbor last year. He was active in animal rescue in Los Angeles and has a "brood" of five rescued cats and one rescued dog (no, he's not crazy). He is also active in the Roche Harbor Neighborhood Association and the Friday Harbor Chamber Of Commerce and serves on several committees of the San Juan County Association of Realtors. An avid runner, his other interests include travel, photography, skiing, reading, and of course music.
